Abstract

Prophetic leadership plays an important role in improving the quality of education through example, humanism, and morality. This model ensures structured and aspirational policies and prevents stagnation so that the institution continues to grow. This study was conducted to know the role of prophetic leadership and its implications in the development of the quality of educational institutions at Global Islamic School Yogyakarta. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis approach. Data collection used observation, interview, and documentation study techniques. Interview data were obtained from the principal, PAI teacher, and 2 students. The observation was conducted on the observation of learning activities, and the documents studied included the school's vision and mission, school work programs, school rules, school religious activity reports, and other documents related to prophetic leadership. Data analysis is done by condensing data and presenting data and conclusions. The conclusion of this research is that the role of prophetic leadership has a very significant impact on the development of the quality of education, the principal practiced prophetic traits, namely: shidiq, amanah, tabligh, and fatanah in carrying out his leadership. The implication of this research is that the prophetic leadership style of the principal shapes the good character of students, the cognitive and religiosity domains increase, and the school program runs smoothly.
