Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's management strategy for improving teacher performance at SDN 6 Tanjung Jaya. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study method. The study population includes all teachers at SDN 6 Tanjung Jaya, with a sample selected using purposive sampling techniques. The instruments used in this study include in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation analysis. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study show that school principals implement various strategies, such as academic supervision, motivation, professional development, and continuous evaluation and monitoring. Academic supervision is carried out through classroom observation and professional guidance, while teacher motivation is enhanced with rewards and moral support. Professionalism development involves training and improving teacher competencies on an ongoing basis. Evaluation and monitoring are implemented to ensure the effectiveness of the strategies implemented and assess their impact on teacher performance. Overall, the strategies implemented by the principal proved to be effective in increasing teacher motivation and professionalism, which ultimately contributed to improving the quality of learning and student achievement at SDN 6 Tanjung Jaya. The results of this study can be a reference for other schools in implementing principal management strategies to improve the quality of education.
