Implementation of Adiwiyata Program Management in Shaping Students' Environmental Awareness

Abstract

The character of environmental awareness will continue to grow alongside the students’ learning process at school. Therefore, it is important for schools to implement the Adiwiyata program as one of their efforts. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Adiwiyata program management in shaping students’ environmental awareness at MAN Purworejo. A descriptive qualitative research method was used, with data validity tested through triangulation. The results of this study show that the implementation of management in the Adiwiyata program at MAN Purworejo follows the goals of the program. In terms of organization, all school members are involved, although several parties hold key responsibilities for ensuring its implementation. The execution of the program has generally been good, but certain obstacles have limited its effectiveness. At the final stage, evaluation is carried out along with follow-up actions to improve the Adiwiyata program at MAN Purworejo. The study suggests that regular monitoring should be conducted to ensure that the planned program can run effectively.
