Real-Time Monitoring Through Jogja Madrasah Digital in Yogyakarta

Abstract

Real-time systems have been proven beneficial according to literature reviews, but not entirely true in this case. This study aims to investigate the implementation of real-time monitoring through the Jogja Madrasah Digital application in Yogyakarta, generally discussed for all state madrasah in Yogyakarta and then focused on MTsN 3 Sleman. Employing a qualitative research method, the study explores how the application supports real-time monitoring principles. The findings reveal that Jogja Madrasah Digital accommodates all essential principles of real-time monitoring, enabling continuous and immediate tracking of educational processes. However, MTsN 3 Sleman does not utilize these features extensively, citing pedagogical reasons for limited usage. This suggests a gap between technological capabilities and practical adoption in certain educational settings, highlighting the need for alignment between digital tools and pedagogical strategies. Although this study is limited in scope, it is expected to draw attention from the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Yogyakarta and other stakeholders interested in implementing real-time monitoring technology in educational institutions.
