Da'wah Management for Improving Tahfidz at the Ittihadul Muwahidin Islamic Boarding School in Pati

Abstract

Management of dakwah plays a crucial role in organizing, directing, and developing religious activities to achieve optimal dakwah goals. One of the dakwah fields that requires good management is the tahfidz Al-Qur'an activities in Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to analyze the implementation of dakwah management in improving the progress of tahfidz Al-Qur'an at Pondok Pesantren Ittihadul Muwahidin Pati. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of dakwah management functions—planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling—has run quite effectively in developing the tahfidz program. Planning is conducted by preparing the curriculum and memorization targets, organizing involves the division of tasks between ustadz and administrators, implementation runs by applying the repetition (tikrar) and review (muroja’ah) methods, while supervision is carried out through routine evaluation of the students' memorization. With good dakwah management, tahfidz activities at Pondok Pesantren Ittihadul Muwahidin Pati have experienced significant improvement both in terms of memorization quality and student discipline. This study is expected to be a reference for other Islamic educational institutions in managing tahfidz programs more effectively and directionally.
