The Role of KSPPS Yaummi MAS Cilacap Branch in Empowering the Local Economy

Abstract

This research analyzes the role of KSPPS Yaummi Mas Cilacap Branch in empowering the local economy through sharia financing, business training and strengthening social capital. The research gap that was raised was the lack of studies on how sharia financing mechanisms in micro cooperatives actually produce economic changes for members, especially small business actors. The method used is descriptive qualitative through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The research results show that KSPPS provides access to microfinance without asset collateral, provides training in business management and financial recording, and strengthens solidarity through regular meetings and the ta'awun system. The impact of empowerment can be seen from the increase in income and business skills of members, especially women. The main obstacles include limited assistance, weak market access, and not yet optimal impact evaluation. Digitalization and expanded partnerships are recommended to increase the effectiveness of sustainable empowerment.
