Nasyiatul Aisyiyah's Dakwah Management in Medan City in Efforts to Prevent Violence Against Children Through Parenting Classes

Abstract

This research is intended to examine the management of da’wah activities of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah in Medan City in efforts to prevent violence against children through a parenting class program. This study was designed using a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through direct field observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The data were then analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The results show that the parenting class program is systematically designed through community needs identification, coordination meetings, committee formation, and the determination of themes and speakers. Implementation has been carried out periodically since 2016 through seminars and training based on Islamic values, supported by institutions such as BKKBN and KPAI. Evaluation is conducted through internal meetings and participant feedback. This program contributes to increasing parents' capacity to apply more communicative and preventive parenting patterns against violence. It is concluded that the implemented da'wah management has been structured and functions as a family-based preventive instrument, although the evaluation of long-term impacts still requires strengthening with more measurable instruments.
