Abstract

Individuals with mental disorders often face significant stigma and discrimination in society, including in Desa Karangpatihan, Balong, Ponorogo. This stigma can hinder their access to necessary healthcare and social support. Social intervention is required to reduce this stigma and enhance community acceptance and understanding of individuals with mental disorders. The aim of this community service is to develop and implement an effective intervention program to reduce stigma in the community. The methods used include community education through workshops, group discussions, and dissemination of information via local media. The results of the intervention show an increase in community understanding and positive attitudes towards individuals with mental disorders. The implications of these results are improved access to healthcare and social support for individuals with mental disorders, as well as an enhanced quality of life for them.
